Sustainability, integrity, quality and responsibility are fundamental values for us. Maes Honey wants to offer you honey that is committed to the environment and to all its beekeepers.
A year of great challenges
This year, 2021, Maes Honey has achieved one of its major objectives, namely to start work on the expansion of its plant at the beginning of September, which will be completed in June of next year.
The Maes plant currently has 7,650 m² built on a plot of 76,500 m². The enlargement will increase the working area to 15,000 m². This will mean a considerable increase of 49% of the facilities.
Maes Honey’s goal is to increase storage capacity, both for honey and other products.
The need to increase the honey stock is due to logistical supply problems, with the objective of guaranteeing a correct supply, both in terms of time and quality of the products.
Maes Honey expects to market some 10,000 tons of honey within 5 years, generating an increase of 25%-30% of total sales.
Since 2011 we have been working and taking care of our products so that they are in the best conditions. Our quality certifications endorse us BRC, IFS, Kosher, FDA and Halal.
Continue taking care of yourself with honey during Christmas
We want you to continue drinking honey during these days so that you can start the year on the right foot. Remember that honey has numerous properties and there is a wide variety such as monofloral honeys, Honey Bees, or Bonapi Honey. Some of the benefits of these honeys are:
- It helps in the digestion of heavy Christmas meals.
- It is a natural antioxidant, something necessary with the cold weather.
- It strengthens the defenses thanks to the significant content of vitamins and minerals that honey has.
- It helps to maintain daily hydration in our body.
- Honey relieves ailments that may arise from colds in the throat.
- Honey is a natural sweetener that keeps us away from processed sugars.
Sweeten your Christmas with honey
Replace processed sugars with more traditional honey and sweeten Christmas as you deserve.
Many of the traditional Christmas sweets are made with honey. To make sure this is the case, check the ingredients before adding them to the basket. You also have the option of handcrafting your own candies with the assurance that the products used are natural.
With the cold weather of these dates, coffees and infusions are always appetizing. Changing the habit of sweetening these drinks and starting to use honey as a sweetener will be a very good way to introduce honey in your eating habits.
Since Christmas is a time of excesses, introducing honey in your diet with a moderate amount, will help you to satiate yourself and not opt for such heavy meals.
