Industry 4.0

In our factory we use Industry 4.0 automation to have a more comprehensive control and
increase our productivity and profitability.

Industry 4.0 allows us to optimise our production process through real-time data analysis,
which considerably reduces our production time and enables us to make immediate
adjustments if necessary.

Our automated lines equipped with SCADA monitoring systems replicate tasks with high consistency and accuracy, ensuring that our end products meet established quality standards. In addition, they allow us to anticipate potential downtime, thereby increasing our productivity.

Honey quality

Maes Honey is currently carrying out an R&D&I project to optimise the crystallisation of packaged honey.

Commercially, customers demand that honey remains liquid without crystallising for as long as possible. Achieving this is a challenge for Maes Honey, as honey is a supersaturated solution of sugars that tends to crystallise. The project is based on trying to study the influence of variables such as the concentration and type of sugars, humidity, presence of air, geographical origin of the honey, temperatures and processing times (pasteurisation), as well as studying the Nuclear Magnetic Resonance profile in order to identify new compounds that could influence the crystallisation process of honey.
